Quinyx was founded by Erik Fjellborg in 2005 when he worked extra at McDonald's. Since then, Quinyx has grown into one of the market leaders within Workforce Management.

2005

Erik Fjellborg founded Quinyx after working one summer at McDonald’s. He recognised the issue of workforce management, spotting that his manager was constantly on the phone trying to piece together employee schedules. He discovered that there was no system that could handle scheduling when staff wanted to quickly book or change shifts, so he built one himself. McDonald’s loved Erik’s solution and became Quinyx’ first customer.

2006

After a successful implementation at the McDonald’s restaurant in Örebro in Sweden, Quinyx started a successful expansion program into other McDonald’s restaurants in Sweden, Denmark and the United Kingdom.

2007

Quinyx continues its growth journey in order to take care of the market opportunities. By the end of the year, Quinyx goes through its first investment round in order to expand faster.

2008

Quinyx continues its rapid expansion with brands such as Max Hamburgers, Teknikmagasinet and ICA Samköp joining the fan club.

2009

Quinyx expands internationally and opens offices in Denmark. Quinyx launches a new module, Forecast, helping customers optimise their workforce.

2010

Quinyx continues to grow in Sweden and abroad. Sweden’s largest healthcare company Humana chooses to implement Quinyx Workforce Management to increase efficiency, save money and boost employee satisfaction.

2011

Quinyx launches a mobile app for IOS and Android. Quinyx Task Management module is launched for customers allowing control over data processing and digital self-monitoring.

2012

Quinyx growth accelerates. One of Scandinavia’s largest gym chain, SATS Elixia chooses Quinyx to streamline their Workforce Management.

2013

International expansion continues and Quinyx opens offices in Norway. Quinyx Workforce Management feature-set now includes scheduling, shift planning and swapping, timesheet functionality via workers punching in/out using Quinyx’ mobile apps, and budget forecasting.

2014

Quinyx launches in the UK and is was awarded one of the top employers in Sweden. Quinyx receives backing from Alfvén & Didrikson and secures a $14 million investment.

2015

Quinyx continues to grow and launches in Finland!

Mansoor has extensive experience in sales and marketing with senior leadership roles in technology companies, including SurveyMonkey (online survey platform and unicorn), ForeSee (acquired by Answer.com) and Endeca Technologies (acquired by Oracle). He holds a BSc in Business Administration and a BA in Economics from Boston University and an MBA from INSEAD. He brings a lot of experience from growth journeys within the technology industry to the company, as well as high level of energy and enthusiasm to the sales team.

Founded Quinyx with the idea to develop a web-based workforce management system with a focus on employee interaction. The product has been awarded the GSEA in Chicago for “Best Innovation 2007″. Erik also received the Anders Wall scholarship in 2006, Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Founders Alliance in 2007, Best International Growth by Ernst & Young in 2008 and Rising Star of the Year at the Stockholm School of Economics. Nominated as one of five finalist in the competition “Stockholms’ most entrepreneurial people” during 2015.

Has over 10 years of experience in Workforce Management and has closed business deals with companies such as H&M, Clas Ohlson, Max Hamburger restaurants, SF Bio, Cervera and ICA. At Quinyx, Andreas has built up a successful sales department with a combination of own sellers and key partners. Andreas has a background in marketing and also played professional ice-hockey in North America.

Pierre de Boer has many years of experience from leading roles within high-tech, high-growth companies, such as the telecom operator 3 and Betsson. Pierre led Betsson as CTO for five years where he increased the development team from 30 to 300 with revenues increasing ten fold.

With many years of experience in customer-oriented development of powerful, comprehensive solutions, as well as a strong sense for user-friendliness and practical design, he truly holds a key role within the company.

Maria, partner and CEO of investment company Alfvén & Didrikson, has a 10-year long background within M&A advisory from Goldman Sachs in London, New York and Stockholm. She has been an advisor across a wide range of industries with a focus on Scandinavian clients. Maria holds a M.Sc. from the Stockholm School of Economics and EM Lyon. She is currently Chairman of the board of Quinyx AB.

Måns, co-founder of investment company Alfvén & Didrikson, has operational line management and strategic consultancy experience from CMA Medical AB in Stockholm, the Swedish Trade Council in Sydney and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Stockholm and Sydney. Måns holds a M.Sc. from the Stockholm School of Economics and the Wharton School of Business.

Other roles: Chairman of the board of Trustly Group AB and Gardio AB and board member of Proactive Health Partner AB.

Magnus Lindhe is co-founder and partner at the venture capital fund Zobito. He had a vital part in building QlikTech, taking the company from a startup to achieving a listing on the US Nasdaq stock exchange and served as VP Nordic between 2001 and 2009 and as VP Global Services between 2009 and 2012.
Magnus holds an MSc from Lund University, Sweden.
