Health and Social Care | The State of the Deskless Workforce | UK

During the pandemic, people working on the frontline in health and social care settings have put themselves at risk to help others. This report explores the challenges health and social care workers in the UK face and shines a light on how we can better support them.

This is what we found:

  • More than half of health and social care workers have considered quitting

  • 64% have gone to work sick because they couldn’t afford to take time off

  • 71% have experienced understaffing at work

As part of our annual international research, The State of the Deskless Workforce, charting the experiences of over 10,000 deskless workers across ten countries, we surveyed 1,500 deskless workers in the UK. In this report, we put the attitudes of health and social care workers under the microscope.
