As the on-demand grocery delivery company Gorillas is expanding across the world and warehouses pop up everywhere imaginable, we land directly in New York; the city that never sleeps. Here, Jonathan Falcon, the go to person for anything scheduling and Quinyx related within Gorillas, tells us more about his experience using our newest solution Advanced Analytics.
Falcon is in charge of staffing needs for all 16 warehouses currently located throughout New York City. He initially signed up for the beta program out of curiosity, wondering if Advanced Analytics could be of any value. And he soon realized that would indeed be the case.
“Employee absence is a pain point for us so we want to identify where most absences take place and potentially follow-up with a program to combat that. Reducing under and overstaffing is a high priority for us and Advanced Analytics gives me the clean data to show us where we can improve that for our workforce and business.” says Falcon.
He also points out that Advanced Analytics provides the data visualization he needs to get a better understanding of the staffing requirements in the New York warehouses. The ability to view different metrics, including scheduled versus worked hours, absence and overtime for each and every warehouse is great for comparing between warehouses. Or, as Falcon says: “I wish I could dive deeper per role, but other than that it all makes sense. I love it.” Additionally, Advanced Analytics can also help him point out any differences and discuss findings with managers based in Europe.
When comparing Advanced Analytics against the standard reporting tool within Quinyx, Falcon indicates that it has better filtering capabilities allowing him to sync the information he looks for. Now, making weekly reports is easier and faster. Falcon concludes by saying: “If someone would take Advanced Analytics away from me, I would miss it.”
