During Carl's 9 years at Quinyx, he has helped develop Quinyx WFM from a simple web-based scheduling tool to a comprehensive workforce management system adapted to work in multiple industries. Carl will demonstrate Quinyx new interface, including functionality for ad-hoc scheduling, and advanced absence management.
Michael was appointed Chief People Officer at London City Airport in May 2016, having joined the airport as HR Director in May 2013. Michael, who has an extensive background in Retail HR, wanted to raise the productivity and engagement amongst the staff at London City Airport. He realised that the high labour costs and turnover of staff were based on the heavily manual rostering processes at the Airport. Michael will share his story on how London City Airport migrated to Quinyx and the actual returns they have made from efficient Workforce Management.
Sarah Andresen is head of People Science at Sage People. Driven by a passion for data, she helps companies use data science to identify actionable knowledge from HR/people data.
Since 2008 UK labour productivity growth has stagnated, more than 17% below pre-downturn trend, widening the UK labour productivity gap. Sarah will adress what drives workforce productivity and how companies can improve employee performance.
Millenials and Gen Z are reshaping the UK labour market, but by 2020, they will represent over 75% of this workforce and will have an entirely different set of expectations for their employer. Swarovski’s Head of Global Process Management, Jan Vogel, will share how Swarovski realised it was time to focus on the future and adapt to the needs of their tech savvy staff. They dared to bring mobile phones into the workplace and could witness how 100% downloaded the app, helping Swarovski decrease time spent on payroll from 2 days to 5 minutes, facilitate better communication and improve work / life balance.
