There’s never been a more exciting time for Workforce Management (WFM) than right now.
At Quinyx we’ve always been pioneers. We’ve always had the courage (to steal a well used phrase) to boldly go where no one has gone before.
The global pandemic fundamentally shifted how we think about work. It’s altered when, where and how the workforce wants to work, it accelerated digital transformation in every single industry, and it’s shown us all the importance of being flexible and responding quickly to change.
It’s why we now stand on the edge of a new Workforce Management frontier.
It started when I was a 17 year old student, flipping burgers at McDonald’s. I quickly saw that my colleagues never knew when they were working next. My manager constantly had to deal with requests to switch shifts or frantically had to phone around at the last minute to find someone to fill an empty shift.
Surely it didn’t have to be like this - what if there was a way to automate the process of filling empty shifts, for everyone to see what shifts they were working and to easily switch shifts?
There was - and Quinyx was born.
It started as a mission to help my colleagues and manager. Today, our mission is to better the lives of millions of hourly workers by improving their work lives.
Recently, we’ve taken a huge step forward to fulfilling this mission with the announcement of $50M in funding, led by Battery Ventures. The investment is a real game-changer for Quinyx, the WFM industry, and all our customers. It enables us to accelerate product innovation and expansion, while continuing to support our core mission.
We’ve experienced rapid and sustained growth over the past year. This success reflects the demand for organizations hiring hourly workers to do more with less as they struggle to overcome the challenges of a global labor shortage. It’s more important than ever before for businesses to rethink labor management and the employee experience in order to increase staff retention and productivity.
Hourly workers and the companies employing them have always been at the centre of our product. Unlike most other providers, we come at WFM from an employee perspective and it’s why the employee experience will always sit at the heart of what we do.

This funding is a significant milestone in our history and one that wouldn’t be possible without our passionate employees, our partners, and - of course - our amazing customers.
