Meet Charlotte, our Design Lead

Get to know the people behind your favorite product updates. We're happy to introduce you to Charlotte Depin, our Design Lead at Quinyx.

Who are you and what is your role within Quinyx?
My name is Charlotte Depin and I am Design Lead at Quinyx. The design team has grown from 2 designers in 2019 when I joined to 5 designers now. We are really committed to bringing our customers' perspectives in everything we implement at Quinyx, so that our product stays relevant and easy to use.

What are you currently working on with your team?
We are very excited about the work we are doing when it comes to meeting with customers to talk about the future of our product. It really helps us to elevate the next iterations and explore our vision for the product onwards. One thing I’m particularly excited about is the early stage we are in right now when it comes to our dashboard functionality. Besides that a lot of our focus in 2021 will be on documenting and reinforcing the knowledge we have. It is important to have a strong base if you want to become a unicorn company.

How to deal with remote working in a design team?
The design team has always been distributed between different cities, so the remote work was already part of our culture. Luckily for us, a lot of design tools are very adapted to online collaboration, so it has not really been a challenge for us. We dedicate 2 hours per week to something fun together, watching a documentary, or doing creativity exercises. That helps us feel like one team.

Who to interview next time from the product team and why?
Haha good question! Maybe Leigh, our Product Communication Coordinator, is interesting to interview. She does a lot of things in the background, but really puts a lot of effort in establishing standards and frameworks for our products to be better understood.
